    Greensboro craft brewery Natty Greene’s Brewing Co. has attracted the attention – and opposition – of brewing behemoth Anheuser-Busch.

  • N.C. adds 5,700 private jobs in May, but unemployment rate increases

    North Carolina private employers added 5,700 jobs from April to May, and commerce analysts estimate there were 10,000 more employed persons in that same time.

    The unemployment rate actually increased, the first month-over-month increase in more than a year, but that has more to do with how the rate is calculated, than a fair snapshot of the overall economy.   • Citrix program hopes to bridge Triangle-Silicon Valley ties

    John McIntyre, the spearhead behind Citrix’s accelerator arm, says the tech giant is teaming up with Raleigh’s HQ Raleigh – and looking for partners as it preps to bring a startup initiative to the City of Oaks.

    McIntyre says he hopes the program- which will target pre-seed and early stage startups, will help “build bridges from Raleigh to Silicon Valley.”
